How consent is collected
- 1An authenticated match owner or tournament director initiates one of the three workflows shown below.
- 2Adding a mobile number is optional. Email, QR code, copy, and share alternatives remain available without SMS consent.
- 3The mobile number owner asks for or expressly agrees to receive the secure link. The sender then selects an unchecked consent box for that specific number.
- 4The text action remains disabled until consent is selected. Changing the mobile number clears consent and requires a new confirmation.
- 5PowerPool sends one requested transactional link for that action. The recipient is not enrolled in marketing messages.
Every production SMS entry point
These interactive examples reproduce the complete consent controls used in the signed-in application. Entering a sample phone number leaves consent unchecked and the text action disabled. This reviewer page never sends a message.
Send the private recovery link
The match owner may enter their own number or a consenting scorer's number. Email remains available as a non-SMS alternative.
Invite a player, referee, or scorekeeper
The match owner selects one intended recipient and confirms that person expressly agreed to receive the one-time secure link.
Send the player their registration link
The tournament director may register a walk-up player without SMS; adding a mobile number is optional and requires separate consent.
What messages contain
Messages identify PowerPool and provide a secure, expiring link for quick-match recovery, a scoring invitation, or tournament registration. Links use the PowerPool-owned playpowerpool.com domain.
Frequency, charges, and cancellation
